Monaco welcomed four newly accredited ambassadors representing New Zealand, Gabon, Jamaica and Greece at a diplomatic luncheon held at the Hôtel Hermitage on Thursday, October 22.

The meeting brought together the Principality’s diplomatic representatives and the newly appointed ambassadors to discuss bilateral relations and opportunities for cooperation.

Benjamin Valli, Director of Diplomatic and Consular Relations, hosted the luncheon on behalf of Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.

The four diplomats in attendance were Joanna Kempkers, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of New Zealand; Alfred Nguiabanda, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Gabon; Diedre Mills, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Jamaica; and Ioannis-Miltiadis Nicolaidis, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Greece.

The luncheon provided an opportunity to discuss the longstanding ties of friendship between Monaco and each of the four countries, as well as the prospects for strengthening diplomatic and economic cooperation.

Honorary consuls representing New Zealand and Gabon also attended the meeting, alongside representatives of Invest Monaco, the Principality’s organisation dedicated to promoting investment and supporting economic development.
