Ukrainian businessman Vadim Ermolaev has reportedly emerged from a coma following Monday night’s bombing in Monaco, while his partner, Anna Nasobina, remains in a critical condition after suffering catastrophic injuries in the attack…

According to Monaco’s Prosecutor General’s Office, Nasobina underwent multiple amputations and her life remains in danger. Monaco-Matin reports that she has received extensive blood transfusions in recent days and faces the risk of losing several sensory functions, including her sight, hearing and speech. The couple’s 13-year-old son, who was also injured in the explosion, is now out of danger after being treated at Lenval Children’s Hospital in Nice.

The medical update comes as the investigation continues to gather pace. Monaco’s authorities have identified 39-year-old Ukrainian national Anastasiia Berezovska as the principal suspect and have secured an international arrest warrant supported by an Interpol Red Notice.

Investigators believe Berezovska carried out reconnaissance around the victims’ residence before allegedly planting the explosive device outside the building on June 29. Authorities say she fled Monaco on foot before travelling through France and Italy to Germany, her last known country of residence. German police have since searched her home and seized evidence, although she remains at large.

A judicial investigation into attempted murder and related offences has been entrusted to three investigating judges, while authorities continue to pursue both the suspected bomber and anyone who may have planned or assisted in the attack.
