Port Hercule has once again been transformed into a world-class equestrian arena as the Monte-Carlo International Jumping marks its 20th edition, welcoming around 250 horses and riders from across the globe…
Running over three days, the event features competition at every level, from national classes for young riders to the prestigious CSI 5* Grand Prix, where fences reach 1.60 metres. Renowned for its compact, technical layout, Monaco’s arena is often compared to the Formula 1 circuit, demanding precision and speed from horse and rider alike.
This year’s anniversary edition introduces a redesigned venue with upgraded facilities, reflecting two decades of steady growth. Organisers say the improvements are aimed at enhancing both the spectator experience and the welfare of the horses, which remain at the heart of the event. Alongside some of the sport’s biggest international names, three Monégasque riders will make history by competing in the five-star competition for the first time, underlining the Principality’s commitment to developing home-grown talent.
The programme includes the Global Champions League, the Pro-Am Cup and culminates on Saturday with the prestigious Prince of Monaco Grand Prix, the highlight of the Longines Global Champions Tour weekend. Celebrations will conclude with a specially commissioned artistic performance, rounding off a landmark edition of one of Monaco’s most established and internationally recognised sporting events.
