With just 52 days to go until Monaco hosts the Grand Départ of La Vuelta, the excitement surrounding Spain’s premier cycling race arrived in the Principality as three promotional vehicles from the Tour de France publicity caravan toured its streets…
Beginning in Casino Square before making their way to the Prince’s Palace, the convoy offered residents and visitors a first glimpse of the event that will place Monaco at the centre of the cycling world later this summer. The initiative was designed not only to promote La Vuelta’s historic Monaco start but also to showcase the Principality to the millions of spectators who follow the Tour de France.
The campaign also highlighted Monaco’s environmental commitments. The vehicles carried the colours of the Princess Charlene Foundation and the Prince Albert II Foundation, promoting a shared message of ocean conservation and environmental protection. Organisers said the partnership reflects cycling’s close association with sustainable mobility and complements Monaco’s long-standing commitment to protecting the marine environment.
As anticipation continues to build, the promotional tour offered a reminder that Monaco’s Grand Départ will be about more than elite sport. It will also provide an international platform to showcase the Principality’s environmental ambitions, maritime heritage and global appeal before the world’s cycling spotlight turns to Monaco in just a few weeks.
