Mission Enfance has launched its annual summer charity sale in Fontvieille, offering residents the chance to find bargains while supporting humanitarian projects for disadvantaged children around the world…
The event, held at the association’s headquarters on Avenue des Papalins, continues this Tuesday and Thursday with a wide selection of clothing, toys, books, jewellery and household items available at affordable prices.
Visitors gathered from the opening on Monday morning to browse items ranging from designer clothing to children’s toys, with prices starting from just 50 cents. Around twenty volunteers are helping organise the sale and assist shoppers throughout the event, which has become a well-established fixture in Monaco’s charitable calendar.
Founded in 1991, Mission Enfance uses funds raised through its summer and winter sales to support projects in several countries, including Burkina Faso, Lebanon, Armenia and Vietnam. Last year, the association raised around €40,000 through its two annual sales, helping finance educational sponsorships, humanitarian aid and shipping containers filled with supplies destined for Burkina Faso.
Organisers explained that the majority of goods sold are donated by residents in Monaco and neighbouring areas, reflecting decades of local support for the charity’s work. Alongside raising funds, the event also promotes recycling and solidarity, giving donated items a second life while contributing directly to children in need.
