The E1 Series, the world’s first championship for fully electric offshore powerboats, continues its third season with Stage 2 taking place this weekend on Italy’s Lake Como…
Bringing together ten international teams, including Team Monaco, the competition combines innovation, sustainability and high-speed racing in a unique format where each team fields one male and one female driver.
Among the competitors is Monegasque pilot Maxime Nocher, who alongside teammate Auban Ducan represents Team Monaco. After a challenging opening round in Jeddah, where technical issues impacted performance, the team arrives in Italy aiming to reset and improve. With only limited preparation time before the season, the focus has been on analysing data and fine-tuning the boat to adapt to the very different conditions of freshwater racing.
The E1 RaceBird boats, powered entirely by electricity and equipped with hydrofoil technology, represent a new frontier in marine sport. While still evolving, the series is already pushing technological boundaries and attracting increasing attention worldwide.
For Team Monaco, the Lake Como stage is an important step in building momentum ahead of the home race, scheduled for July 17 and 18. Racing in Monaco remains a key ambition for the team, as they look to deliver a strong performance on familiar waters later this season.
