A new partnership has been signed in Monaco between GEMLUC and the Écoute Cancer Confort association, reinforcing support for people affected by cancer and their families in the Principality…

The agreement was formalised in the presence of François Jean Brych, president of GEMLUC, and Valérie Barilaro, president of Écoute Cancer Confort. For more than 50 years, GEMLUC has mobilised Monaco’s business community to fund medical research, equipment and patient-focused initiatives. This new collaboration extends that mission by strengthening the human and emotional support available to patients, focusing not only on treatment but also on wellbeing and recovery.

Écoute Cancer Confort plays a vital role in offering listening services, moral support and wellbeing activities to those facing the challenges of cancer. Through this partnership, new initiatives will be developed, including access to innovative 3D-printed prostheses for women affected by breast cancer.

Designed by specialist Dr Julien Montenero, these custom-made prostheses aim to restore both physical appearance and self-confidence following surgery. The initiative highlights a shared commitment to improving quality of life for patients, combining medical innovation with compassionate care.
