The Monaco Grand Prix will remain a fixture on the Formula 1 calendar until at least 2035, following a new agreement between Formula 1 and the Automobile Club de Monaco that extends the current deal by four years.

“The streets of Monaco have been echoing with the sound of Formula 1 since the earliest days of the sport, so I’m delighted to announce the extension of this fantastic event to 2035,” said F1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali. “It is an iconic race that is loved by all drivers and fans, with a unique vibe thanks to its location on the world’s most glamorous Principality.”

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco welcomed the renewal: “The renewal of the Monaco Grand Prix until 2035 is in keeping with a sporting and historical tradition to which the Principality remains deeply attached. I can only welcome this renewed commitment, which is testament to our collective success… and the unique place that Monaco occupies in the international motorsport landscape.”

First run in 1929 and part of the F1 World Championship since 1950, the Monaco Grand Prix is celebrated as one of motorsport’s most demanding events. Monte Carlo’s narrow 3.3-kilometre layout leaves no margin for error, demanding absolute precision from drivers while serving as a global showcase of glamour and endurance.

The race has seen historic victories in recent years, including hometown hero Charles Leclerc’s breakthrough win in 2024 and Lando Norris’ maiden triumph in 2025. The Principality has also hosted legends such as Ayrton Senna, Michael Schumacher, Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen, all of whom have conquered its twisting streets.

Michel Boeri, President of the Automobile Club de Monaco, praised the partnership: “The Automobile Club de Monaco is delighted with this four-year extension… This agreement reaffirms, more than ever, our commitment to delivering an exceptional, unmatched, and world-renowned race weekend to the passionate fans who travel from all over the globe.”

The deal reflects Monaco’s ongoing investment in race infrastructure, including enhanced hospitality, expanded paddock facilities and special activations like MSC Cruises’ EXPLORA II ship, which docked in Port Hercule during the 2025 race week.
