Box 98 is preparing to take its motorsport offering up a gear with the launch of a new driving school for children and teenagers at its Fontvieille leisure complex…
Open for more than a year, the venue has established indoor electric karting as its principal attraction whilst steadily expanding the activities available to families. Visitors can also enjoy arcade games, basketball and bowling and a terrace has been introduced for the summer months.
The karting circuit itself combines faster sections with more technical corners, offering newcomers an accessible introduction whilst providing enough variety to challenge more experienced young drivers.
From October, those wishing to develop their skills further will be able to enrol in Box 98’s new driving school. The four-month programme will comprise 16 sessions, with training extending beyond simply spending time behind the wheel.
Alongside extensive track practice, young participants will receive instruction in mechanics and take part in physical conditioning sessions, providing a broader introduction to the disciplines required in motorsport.
Pre-registration opens on August 15 through the Box 98 website ahead of the programme’s official launch in October.
The initiative represents the latest development for the family-focused Fontvieille venue, combining entertainment with a more structured pathway for aspiring young drivers keen to improve their abilities.
