Monaco’s homegrown social networking app Intouch has introduced a new marketplace feature, according to Monaco-Matin, allowing users to buy event tickets directly within the app rather than navigating to separate transactional websites. The update marks a significant expansion for the platform, coming eight months after its initial launch.
Speaking to the outlet, founder Axel Sategna explained the reasoning behind the shift: rather than remaining solely a social platform, Intouch now centralises event-related offerings in one place, giving businesses a direct way to promote their activities across Monaco and the surrounding region while connecting with an already engaged user base. Event organisers can manage their own ticketing setup within the app, including options such as making an event private or applying age restrictions, while users can purchase tickets, transfer them to other members, and scan their QR code for entry, all without leaving the app. The platform also uses artificial intelligence to enhance the overall user experience.
The marketplace builds on a concept Sategna first introduced in November 2025, when he launched Intouch with a simple goal: helping people meet in person and build genuine social connections around real-world events, ultimately encouraging users to set their phones aside in favour of face-to-face interaction. He has described Intouch as a genuine social network, in contrast to platforms he believes have moved away from that original purpose over time.
Eight months on, the app has grown to around 1,500 regular users, with what Sategna describes as a fairly high rate of monthly engagement. Over the summer, he focused on broadening the range of organisations partnering with the platform, including a new partnership with Club Vivanova, a Monaco-based business networking club known for exclusive experiences centred around fine wine and luxury gastronomy.
Looking ahead, Sategna says he hopes to introduce community groups within the app in the coming months, similar in concept to Facebook groups, allowing users who share a particular interest or passion to connect around relevant events. While he acknowledges it’s still early to draw firm conclusions from user feedback, he remains confident in the app’s direction, maintaining that the product is well aligned with the market.
