The Monte-Carlo Summer Festival turned up the soul last night as the Motown All-Stars electrified the legendary Salle des Étoiles…
In a spectacular tribute to some of music’s greatest legends, including Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner, the group brought timeless classics to life with infectious energy and dazzling production.
The show featured four powerhouse vocalists, seven talented musicians, and a troupe of twelve dynamic dancers, all delivering a vibrant and heartfelt performance. The evening was a celebration of black music’s rich legacy and the unforgettable hits that helped shape modern soul, funk, and R&B. Costumes shimmered, choreographies stunned, and the room pulsed with nostalgia and rhythm.
Programmed by the Société des Bains de Mer, the concert was part of a renewed tradition at the Hall of Stars: staging repeat performances that run alongside major headline acts throughout the season. Alfonso Ciulla, SBM’s Artistic Director, explained that the aim was to revive the kind of enduring stage show that audiences can return to all summer long.
“This is a real spectacle,” said Ciulla. “It’s not just about the music—it’s about the visual experience, the movement, and the soul of the performance.” From the first note to the final encore, the Motown All-Stars delivered an unforgettable evening that proved these iconic songs still have the power to bring audiences to their feet.
