In a move to make vital support more accessible, Monaco has launched a simplified and free telephone helpline for victims of violence: 39 19. This new number replaces the previous 0800 91 90 10, offering a quicker, easier-to-remember lifeline for those in need.

Mirroring the French national system, calls to 39 19 from within the Principality will be automatically redirected to AVIP (Association d’Aide aux Victimes d’Infractions Pénales), a qualified local organisation offering confidential information and assistance to victims.

The service provides discreet, expert guidance on all forms of violence—whether sexual assault, domestic abuse, workplace harassment, or other forms of violence and coercion.

Introduced as part of ongoing efforts by the Committee for the Promotion and Protection of Women’s Rights, the initiative reflects the Monaco Government’s sustained commitment to victim support. The aim is to ensure timely, appropriate care that recognises and respects the specific needs of individuals in Monaco.

In the event of immediate danger, emergency services remain reachable at 17 or 112.
