Monaco will host its inaugural “Journée de la Petite Enfance” on Saturday, May 17, transforming Parc Princesse Antoinette into a vibrant celebration of early childhood. Organised by the Service Petite Enfance & Familles and held under the High Patronage of HSH Princess Charlène, the event runs from 10:30 to 15:30 and is open to all, free of charge.
Families will have the opportunity to meet and speak with over 80 professionals from the Monaco Town Hall who work daily to support the wellbeing and development of the Principality’s youngest residents. The day will showcase the educational and care services provided in Monaco’s crèches and the Mini-Club at Larvotto, with an emphasis on fun, discovery, and engagement for all ages.
Activities for babies and toddlers will include interactive workshops exploring movement, imitation, sensory play, language development, and creativity. Older children can dive into a treasure hunt and a lively ping-pong tournament. Meanwhile, parents will be able to attend talks on parenting, offering practical insights and expert guidance.
The event will also shine a spotlight on the essential but often overlooked roles that keep early childhood services running smoothly — from nursery staff and kitchen teams to maintenance workers and admin personnel.

Monaco’s Mayor, Georges Marsan, hailed the event as a key promise delivered by the Municipal Council: “This day brings to life a commitment we made to families — one that means a great deal to the Early Childhood & Families Service and to the entire Council.” Deputy Mayor Chloé Boscagli-Leclercq echoed his enthusiasm, praising the energy and dedication of the teams behind the scenes: “We’ve worked with passion to create a special day where families can explore, learn, and connect with the people who care for their children.”
With no tickets, no fuss, and plenty of ways to play and learn, this debut edition promises to be a cornerstone of Monaco’s family calendar.
