The third edition of the Art and Luxury Fair takes place at the Théâtre Princesse Grace, Monte-Carlo, on Thursday, September 24 and Friday, September 25, open daily from 2pm to 9pm, bringing together world-renowned brands, artists and artisans under the High Patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco.
Founded by Annette Wijdom, the fair positions itself as the first high-end event of its kind built entirely around experience, giving visitors direct access to artists and craftsmen at work rather than simply displaying finished pieces. This year’s edition carries a particular theme, exploring how art, beauty, creativity and science come together to support health, longevity and quality of life, an angle organisers say reflects a growing body of research into the wellbeing benefits of creative engagement, from reduced stress and improved cognitive function to stronger emotional wellbeing.
Adding a royal dimension to proceedings, Princess Margarita de Bourbon de Parme, the fair’s Honorary Creative Contributor, will present her jewellery line De Parme Design, including pieces from her nature-inspired collection. A new Dutch Design Section has also been introduced this year, aimed at deepening cultural and artistic ties between the Netherlands and Monaco.
The artistic programme spans an unusually wide range of disciplines and backgrounds. Monaco-based sculptor Daphné Du Barry, known for major public works including Lady Fortune at the Casino de Monte-Carlo and the Grace Kelly sculpture at the entrance of Princess Grace Hospital, will discuss her career during a storytelling session on September 24. Italian painter Claudio Sacchi, whose training traces back to collaborations with Pietro Annigoni and the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florence, brings decades of portrait and fresco work to the fair, while restorer Zuhura Iddi of Atelier Iddi, whose past work includes pieces by Vincent van Gogh, Banksy and Breitner, will offer insight into the conservation side of the art world.
Other participating artists include Dutch painter and Monaco resident Nora Bonavera, Mallorca-based colourist El Guant Art, Brazilian optical artist and sculptor Marcos Marín, whose public works in Monaco have been created under Prince Albert II’s patronage, and Italian figurative painter Alex Righetto, representing the Vatican-linked association Tota Pulchra. Illusionist Max Schneider, ranked among Europe’s top mentalists, and pianist and installation artist Marcos Marin round out the fair’s live performance offering, alongside Mose.Art’s immersive Faces exhibition, which combines live painting with sound.
On the luxury and lifestyle side, visitors can expect appearances from Dutch shipbuilder Feadship, Champagne house Perrier Jouët, and Van Bergen 1795, the Swiss watchmaker whose Heero Inaugural Edition revives 230 years of chiming timepiece tradition through its in-house Calibre VBA01 movement. Watch specialist Rosa Expertise will also present Iconic Hours, Michele Rosa’s book examining the relationship between watchmaking and film, during a talk on September 25 at 5:45pm.
Elsewhere, the Dorow Clinic will present its integrated approach to aesthetic medicine, dentistry and longevity, while The Life Alliance, founded by entrepreneur and philanthropist Mario Hintermayer, will showcase its Bali and VITA-LIFE initiatives connecting sustainability, health and community impact. Monégasque water brand Monacqua rounds out the lifestyle offering, presenting its recyclable, sustainability-focused packaging.
Free entry runs from 2pm to 6pm each day, with a private, invitation-only event following from 6pm to 9pm. The fair supports the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, with organisers describing the event as a celebration of exceptional craftsmanship, elegance and the art of living in one of Monaco’s most storied settings.
