A dramatic road accident on Avenue Prince Rainier-III, the road connecting Monaco to La Turbie, required an emergency response from Monaco’s Fire Brigade on Thursday, August 27, after a light vehicle overturned with its driver trapped inside, Monaco-Matin reports.
Photos from the scene show the scale of the impact, with the vehicle’s sole occupant left unable to free themselves, requiring firefighters to carry out extrication manoeuvres to safely remove them from the car.
According to Monaco’s Fire Brigade, the victim was treated on site by Monaco’s SMUR emergency medical team before being evacuated to the Centre Hospitalier Princesse Grace for further care.
