The underground facility, which sits beneath the market hall, closed in mid-June to allow engineers to reinforce the ceiling above the entrance and exit ramps as part of the wider restructuring project that began earlier this year. The work was completed in early August, allowing the car park to welcome vehicles once again from August 5.
During the closure, the Public Parking Department also carried out repairs and refurbishment throughout the underground structure, taking the opportunity to improve the facility while access was restricted.
Located in the heart of La Condamine, the car park is accessed from Rue Terrazzani at the foot of the Rock and provides 57 parking spaces for cars, together with around 20 spaces for motorcycles and scooters.
The reopening restores an important parking facility for residents, shoppers and visitors using one of Monaco’s busiest districts, while redevelopment of the historic Condamine Market continues above ground.
