Monégasque students can now enjoy a well-earned summer break, as the final results for the 2026 baccalauréat session, following resit exams, confirmed another outstanding year for the Principality’s schools. With an overall pass rate of 99.5 percent, this year’s session ranks among the strongest in recent memory.
Lycée Albert-Ier and Lycée François d’Assise – Nicolas Barré both achieved a perfect 100 percent pass rate in the general baccalauréat streams, an improvement on last year’s already strong 99.66 percent. The technological streams also reached a full 100 percent pass rate, reinforcing their consistent record at the highest level.
The strength of this year’s results was also reflected in the number of distinctions awarded. In total, 324 mentions were handed out across all streams, including 53 “Très Bien” mentions, six of which came with jury commendation. In the general streams, 73 percent of candidates graduated with a distinction of some kind. The technological streams also performed strongly, recording nine “Bien” mentions and 17 “Assez Bien” mentions.
At Lycée Rainier-III, the professional streams recorded a 97.3 percent pass rate, with students earning six “Très Bien” mentions, including one with jury commendation, along with ten “Bien” mentions and 34 “Assez Bien” mentions.
Monaco’s higher education programmes matched that momentum. All three BTS (Brevet de Technicien Supérieur) courses at Lycée Rainier-III, covering Support for Managerial Action, Accounting and Management, and Hotel and Restaurant Management, achieved a full 100 percent pass rate.
Two students stood out in particular. A Support for Managerial Action BTS student topped the entire Académie with an overall average of 19 out of 20, also setting a new record for the highest score ever achieved in the human resources management component since the qualification was introduced. Meanwhile, an Accounting and Management BTS student also finished top of the Académie, recording an overall average of 19.14 out of 20.
