Fight Aids Monaco brought the music and legacy of Queen to the Salle des Étoiles for its 22nd Annual Gala, combining an evening of entertainment with fundraising for the association’s ongoing fight against HIV…

Chaired by Her Serene Highness Princess Stéphanie, the event welcomed donors, volunteers and supporters, many embracing the evening’s Queen-inspired dress code in tribute to Freddie Mercury, who died from AIDS-related illness in 1991.

The gala highlighted the association’s three core missions: prevention, screening and supporting people living with HIV. Speaking during the evening, representatives stressed the importance of raising awareness, encouraging regular testing and tackling the stigma that many people affected by HIV continue to face. Fight Aids Monaco also continues to provide compassionate support to those living with the virus, both in the Principality and beyond.

A grand raffle featuring prizes donated by prestigious partners once again played a key role in raising funds, with proceeds from the gala helping finance the association’s activities throughout the coming year.

The evening concluded with a spectacular performance by acclaimed tribute band God Save the Queen, recreating the energy of Freddie Mercury and Queen’s greatest hits. While guests enjoyed the celebration, organisers reminded attendees that modern treatments allow people living with HIV to lead normal lives, but that greater awareness, testing and public support remain essential to ending the epidemic.
