Founded by Pierre Casiraghi and German skipper Boris Herrmann, the team was built not only to compete at the highest level of offshore sailing, but also to raise awareness around ocean preservation and climate change.
Speaking on the latest episode of the Monaco Info podcast with Geneviève Berti, Pierre Casiraghi reflected on the evolution of the project and its growing ambitions on the global sailing stage. The team is now preparing for some of the sport’s most demanding competitions, including The Ocean Race 2027 and Boris Herrmann’s third Vendée Globe campaign in 2028.
Over the past decade, Team Malizia has become one of Monaco’s most internationally recognised sporting projects, combining elite competition with scientific and environmental initiatives. The launch of its new IMOCA later this month marks another major milestone for the Monaco-based team.
