One day after Johanna Houdrouge ended her six-year presidency of the Monaco Association of Women Business Leaders, as we reported here, the organisation has officially elected Erika Bernardi as its new president during the association’s General Assembly…
The Monegasque lawyer, who previously served as secretary general of the association, was unanimously chosen to lead Monaco Association of Women Business Leaders (AFCEM) for the next three years. Bernardi succeeds Houdrouge following two consecutive terms marked by the expansion and international visibility of the organisation.
Speaking to Monaco Info after her election, Bernardi said she was both honoured and humbled to take over the role, praising the work achieved by the previous committee while expressing confidence in the new leadership team. She outlined her priorities as promoting the association’s members, strengthening internal and external events, and encouraging collaboration between Monaco’s women entrepreneurs.
Outgoing president Johanna Houdrouge was named honorary president in recognition of her contribution to the association’s development. Also present at the assembly was one of AFCEM’s former presidents, who recalled the spirit of solidarity and mutual support that has defined the organisation for more than twenty years.
Today, AFCEM brings together 70 women business leaders from across Monaco’s economic landscape under the motto: “Alone we are invisible, together we are invincible.”
