Monaco’s culinary map has a new star: Anahi, the celebrated Parisian restaurant once crowned “the most beautiful Parisian restaurant of the year” by Vogue, has opened its second location in the Principality. Nestled just steps from the Carré d’Or, the new venue occupies the former Izakaya Cozza and promises to bring a dash of Parisian sophistication and South American soul to the Riviera.

Anahi is known for its intimate, sensory atmosphere—“a place where elegance meets authenticity,” as the brand describes it, and for its passionate embrace of Argentinian and South American cuisine. Meat takes centre stage, with wood-fired classics like ancho steak, picanha, and assado leading a menu that also features empanadas, crispy croquetas, reimagined pan con tomate, and fine Iberian charcuterie.

Riccardo Giraudi, creator of Beefbar and a longtime admirer of the original Paris location, welcomed the opening: “It’s one of my favourite places… I still feel the energy I loved when I came here as a guest.”

First imagined in the 1980s by Carmina Lebrero and her sister, Anahi Paris became a fashion-week hotspot, beloved by designers, stylists, and artists for its bold Argentine flavours and bohemian charm. The Monaco edition aims to carry forward that spirit, described by the brand as “a vibrant crossroads of cultures, where conviviality, high standards, and culinary tradition come together.”

The drinks menu comes with its own pedigree: signature cocktails are crafted by Colin Field, legendary head bartender of the Ritz Paris for over 25 years and hailed by Forbes as “the world’s best bartender.” Expect refined, adventurous blends with a Latin twist.

Anahi Monaco (11 Rue du Portier, 98000) is open daily for dinner from 19:30 to 23:00 and for weekday lunches from 12:00 to 14:30, adding another layer of cosmopolitan flair to the Principality’s fine-dining scene.
