The Monaco Cardiothoracic Centre and the Hôtel Hermitage have teamed up to provide vital medical equipment and hygiene supplies to the Monegasque Association of the Order of Malta, in support of its outreach work in Nice.
The donation, presented to Nice delegate Eric Odienne, included wrist blood pressure monitors, electronic thermometers, sterile gowns, a stethoscope, intubation probes, and surgical gloves — all destined for the Order of Malta’s dispensary in Nice. The facility offers free consultations and treatment for the homeless, as well as individuals and families facing severe hardship.
In addition, the Hôtel Hermitage contributed essential hygiene kits, which will be distributed directly to those in need during street-level medical interventions.
The handover took place in the presence of Jean Kerwat, President of the Monegasque Association of the Order of Malta, Vice-President Laurence Blanchi-Ticchioni, and Guy Nervo, Deputy President of the Cardiothoracic Centre.
“This is more than a gesture of generosity — it’s a reinforcement of the humanitarian bond between Monaco and our neighbours in Nice,” said Kerwat. The collaboration between the Monegasque association and the Alpes-Maritimes branch of the Order of Malta France is part of a long-standing partnership aimed at providing care and dignity to society’s most vulnerable.
