The Principality is set to transform into a vibrant hub for art lovers, collectors and cultural enthusiasts as Monaco Art Week returns for its seventh edition from Monday, July 7 to Saturday, July 12. Under the High Patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco and with the distinguished support of Her Royal Highness Princess Alexandra of Hanover as patron, this year’s event promises to once again showcase the Principality as a major player on the international art scene.
Born from a desire to unite Monaco’s cultural institutions and promote its thriving art scene, Monaco Art Week (MAW) was launched in 2018. The initiative brings together galleries, auction houses and art institutions to offer the public a unique artistic journey through some of Monaco’s most emblematic districts, including Condamine, Monte-Carlo and Larvotto.
The event highlights the Principality’s diverse artistic offering, spanning classical, modern and contemporary art. Whether it’s sculpture, painting or fine jewellery, MAW prides itself on showcasing high-quality works across all periods of art history. Each gallery and auction house prepares a special, often exclusive, exhibition for the occasion, creating a rich and varied programme for visitors.
More than just an exhibition trail, Monaco Art Week fosters dialogue and cultural exchange, staying true to its founding mission of contributing to the contemporary art debate while enhancing Monaco’s reputation as a prestigious art destination.
This year, the event will coincide with an already packed cultural calendar in the Principality. Running alongside the international art fair Art Monte-Carlo, which takes place from Monday, July 7 to Wednesday, July 9, MAW also overlaps with the grand summer exhibitions at the Grimaldi Forum, including “Colours! Masterpieces from the Centre Pompidou” and “Monaco and the Napoleons: Intertwined Destinies,” which opens on Friday, July 11.
Fifteen participants will take part in the 2025 edition, including renowned names such as Artcurial, Christie’s, Hauser & Wirth, Sotheby’s, Opera Gallery and Almine Rech, alongside local galleries like Teos Gallery Monte-Carlo and Galerie Adriano Ribolzi. Each will present exceptional exhibitions, contributing to an eclectic artistic route through the Principality.
The event continues to benefit from the invaluable support of EFG Bank (Monaco) and Moravia Yachting, with the Société Monégasque de Transports also returning as a loyal partner.
With its unique blend of glamour, history and artistic excellence, Monaco Art Week 2025 promises to be a must-see for art collectors, professionals and curious minds alike.
