The Princess Grace Hospital Centre (CHPG) has unveiled its establishment project for 2025-2030, reflecting a clear vision for the future of public health in Monaco…

Director Benoîte de Sevelinge described the initiative as a collective effort, shaped over a year at the request of the Princely Government, incorporating insights from multidisciplinary workshops, study trips, and consultations with medical staff, technicians, administrative teams, patient associations, and state representatives.

The project sets out four key ambitions. Firstly, CHPG aims to extend its impact beyond the hospital walls to promote public health across the Principality and neighbouring French territories. This includes enhanced prevention strategies, educational initiatives, and closer collaboration with city and state services to foster community-wide wellbeing.

Secondly, innovation is at the heart of the plan, but as de Sevelinge stressed, this will be innovation with purpose: not to simply impress or communicate modernity, but to directly improve patient care and treatment outcomes. Thirdly, the hospital is committed to enriching the experience of both patients and healthcare professionals. The director emphasised the principle of “symmetry of attention,” ensuring that when staff are well supported and valued, patient care also reaches its highest standard.

Finally, the CHPG is reinforcing its environmental and societal responsibility. Since 2010, the hospital has implemented actions to reduce its environmental impact, but older energy-intensive buildings have limited its progress. With the upcoming completion of its new facilities, CHPG will be able to fully express its commitment to sustainability, aligning with Monaco’s broader environmental goals under the leadership of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II.
