With the Riviera sun glinting off the yachts below, Monaco welcomed the fifth edition of the Sohn Monaco Investment Conference — a now-flagship event at the intersection of global finance and life-saving research. Held under the High Patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II and hosted at the Yacht Club de Monaco, the conference drew leading investors, policymakers and philanthropists for a day of market insights with a moral compass.
HSH Prince Albert’s presence underscored the Principality’s enduring commitment to medical innovation and global health, as he met with speakers, organisers and representatives from paediatric cancer research institutions supported by the event.
Conference co-chairs Florence Tournier and Justin Hilbert were applauded for their efforts in championing the cause, which channels financial prowess toward fighting childhood cancer. “As Sohn New York celebrates 30 years, we’re proud to mark five years of Sohn Monaco empowering science through investment,” they said.
The 2025 speaker lineup was formidable, with top-tier fund managers including Ali Akay, Margaret Jones, Pedro De Noronha, and Per Lekander sharing exclusive strategies. Alongside them were prominent figures like Monaco’s Minister of Finance Pierre-André Chiappori and Inserm’s Jean-François Peyron — uniting science and capital in a rare, focused alliance.
Founded in memory of Ira Sohn, the global Sohn movement has raised over $150 million to date. All Monaco proceeds, from ticket sales to raffle entries, go to research efforts like those at the University Hospital of Nice.
