His Serene Highness Prince Albert II officially opened the 20th edition of Top Marques Monaco on Thursday, May 8, launching the landmark event at the Grimaldi Forum with a special nod to its two-decade legacy.

The Prince took his place behind the wheel of the Laffite LM1 “Monaco Edition” — a 1,000-horsepower hypercar produced in an ultra-limited run of just two models. The striking liveries of both vehicles were personally approved by the Sovereign, with part of the proceeds from their eventual sale set to benefit the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation and Princess Stéphanie’s Fight Aids Monaco charity.

Following the symbolic start, Prince Albert toured the show floor, taking time to speak with exhibitors, engineers and enthusiasts. This anniversary edition of Top Marques showcases a blend of cutting-edge premieres and iconic classics, attracting car lovers and collectors from around the globe.
