This July, Monaco welcomes a musical journey back in time as The Dire Straits Experience takes to the stage at the Salle des Étoiles…

As part of the 2025 Monte-Carlo Summer Festival, the show promises to revive the spirit of one of rock’s most legendary bands. Taking place on 25 July, the evening includes a dinner show and features original saxophonist Chris White, offering audiences a rare opportunity to relive the unmistakable sound of Dire Straits live.

Formed in 1977 by Mark Knopfler and his bandmates, Dire Straits quickly became a global sensation with their fusion of rock, blues, and storytelling. Their understated stage presence and refined musicianship stood out in an era dominated by flash and spectacle. With hits like “Sultans of Swing,” “Romeo and Juliet,” and “Brothers in Arms,” the band carved a unique place in rock history. Their 1985 album Brothers in Arms alone sold over 30 million copies and became one of the first albums to benefit from MTV’s rise.

Now, decades later, The Dire Straits Experience breathes new life into these iconic songs, blending nostalgia with world-class musicianship. The event is part of a wider, genre-spanning summer lineup curated by Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, featuring rock, pop, and even electronic music.

Tickets for the 25 July dinner show are priced at €400. For more information and reservations, contact +377 98 06 36 36 or email ticketoffice@sbm.mc.
