Under a radiant spring sun, the 13th edition of Monte-Carlo Fashion Week officially opened today, Tuesday, April 22, 2025…
Organised by the Chambre Monégasque de la Mode, and proudly supported by the Mairie de Monaco, this year’s edition shines a spotlight on ethics, inclusivity, and sustainability—principles that are increasingly shaping the global fashion conversation.
In the Cour d’Honneur of the Mairie, Marjorie Crovetto, Deputy Mayor in charge of Living Environment, Environment and Sustainable Development, welcomed key figures of the fashion week, including Jean-Marc Déoriti-Castellini, Deputy Mayor for the Pavillon Bosio, and Federica Nardoni Spinetta, President of the Chambre Monégasque de la Mode. Joining them was celebrated Italian designer Elisabetta Franchi, whose striking installation of six evening gowns set the tone for a week dedicated to creative excellence and conscious design.
“This event has earned a major place in the Monegasque spring calendar thanks to the energy of the Chambre Monégasque de la Mode and the leadership of Ms. Federica Nardoni Spinetta,” said Crovetto.
Among the highlights of the week will be the 10th anniversary of the Fashion Awards, honouring designers who merge innovation with responsibility. A special performance-fashion show titled Glad you’re awake, created by students of the École Supérieure d’Arts Plastiques – Pavillon Bosio, will take place at Espace Léo Ferré on Friday, April 25, at 18:00.
A long-standing partner of Monte-Carlo Fashion Week since its inception in 2013, the Mairie de Monaco continues to champion fashion education through its “Fashion Scenography” Master’s programme at the Pavillon Bosio, nurturing the next generation of sustainable creatives.
