The Monaco Yacht Show is expanding its international presence to Saudi Arabia, with the first Red Sea Yacht Show scheduled to take place in Jeddah from October 14 to 17, 2027.
The announcement was made on Friday, September 25, during the 35th Monaco Yacht Show, where Tahaluf and Sela signed an agreement to develop and deliver the new event at Jeddah Yacht Club & Marina. His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco was present for the signing.
The new Red Sea Yacht Show will be powered by the Monaco Yacht Show and is intended to bring together superyacht owners, prospective buyers, shipyards, brokers and designers, alongside luxury brands and companies involved in the wider yachting and hospitality sectors.
The event will take place at Jeddah Yacht Club & Marina, which has 94 berths for yachts of up to 120 metres and provides access to a range of hospitality, dining and leisure facilities on Jeddah’s waterfront.
The decision to establish a new yacht show in Saudi Arabia comes as the Kingdom develops a wider network of marine infrastructure along its Red Sea coastline. Saudi Arabia is promoting the region as a year-round destination for luxury yachting, with more than 1,800 kilometres of coastline and a growing number of marinas, yacht clubs and related services.
Earlier this week, Red Sea Global announced the launch of its Yachting Network, bringing together marine services at AMAALA and Shura Island under a single operating network. From winter 2026, private and charter yachts will be able to travel between the two destinations using a single berthing contract, with a combined 278 berths available for yachts of up to 120 metres.
AMAALA Marina provides 119 berths, while Shura Island Marina has a further 159. Additional marinas and anchorages are expected to join the network from 2027, further expanding the infrastructure available to visiting yachts.
Saudi Arabia is also developing facilities to support yachts once they arrive in the region. On Friday, Sela signed a memorandum of understanding with ICON Saudi during the Monaco Yacht Show to explore the development of a specialised luxury yacht maintenance facility in Jeddah.
The proposed facility is intended to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s technical capabilities and provide owners and operators with maintenance services closer to where their yachts are operating.
For the Monaco Yacht Show, the new event represents an expansion of its international reach at a time when the Red Sea is emerging as a developing destination for the global yachting industry.
The October timing of the first Red Sea Yacht Show will also place it towards the end of the Mediterranean yachting season, when many yachts traditionally begin moving towards warmer winter cruising grounds. The organisers say the new event will combine yacht viewings and industry meetings with private receptions, dining and luxury lifestyle experiences.
The Red Sea Yacht Show was officially launched in Monaco on Wednesday, September 23, with the agreement to deliver the inaugural event subsequently signed during this week’s Yacht Show.
The development adds a significant new international dimension to this year’s Monaco Yacht Show, with the Principality now providing the setting for the announcement of a new major event in another emerging yachting destination.
