Monaco prepares for another horological spectacle as Monaco Legend Group hosts its latest Exclusive Timepieces Auction on April 26th and 27th, 2025, at Le Meridien Beach Plaza Hotel…
With over 250 extraordinary lots, the sale brings together a breathtaking array of rare, historically important, and visually captivating watches that have already captured the attention of collectors and connoisseurs worldwide.
Among the headline lots is the remarkable Rolex reference 6098 with a cloisonné enamel dragon dial (Lot 187). Believed to be one of just two examples ever made in a large 36mm Oyster case, this masterpiece was crafted by Stern Frères and executed by renowned enameller Nelly Richard. “It’s not just a watch,” said Davide Parmegiani, Chairman of Monaco Legend Group, “it’s a wearable work of art that bridges cultures and eras.”

Another highlight is the Rolex 6062 Triple Calendar Moonphase in steel (Lot 247), one of the most coveted complications ever produced by Rolex. This example, preserved in exceptional condition, represents one of the finest known to the market.
Collectors of early Cartier will be drawn to Lot 60, a platinum Cartier Panthère prototype wristwatch from circa 1917. Featuring diamonds and sculpted onyx cabochons, the watch represents the earliest known use of the panther motif in a Cartier timepiece. “It embodies the genesis of a legend,” noted Corrado Mattarelli, Deputy Chairman. “To hold this watch is to hold the beginning of Cartier’s most enduring icon.”

Also taking centre stage is a historically significant Rolex GMT-Master 6542 with an ultra-rare Albino dial. This unique version, distinguished by its white dial and original red-and-blue bezel, comes with exceptional provenance from a Chilean Marine Infantry veteran who wore it throughout his career.
The watch has remained with its original owner for decades, and its untouched condition, military background, and elusive dial variant make it one of the most desirable GMTs ever to come to market. “Watches like this come around once in a generation,” said Claude Cohen, Chairman. “It tells a story not just of Rolex, but of travel, service, and history.”

These highlights are just a glimpse of what Monaco Legend Group has in store. With its trademark curation, world-class presentation, and a client base of the world’s most passionate collectors, the April sale promises to be an unforgettable event in the international watch calendar.
The Exclusive Timepieces Auction will be held over two days, Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 April, at Le Meridien Beach Plaza Hotel, Monte-Carlo. Viewings are open to the public in the two days preceding the sale. For a complete list of lots and to register to bid, visit monacolegendgroup.com.
