Monaco has introduced 28 seasonal taxis to reinforce its existing fleet in response to increased demand during the summer season and major upcoming events. The drivers, selected following an open call for applications in October 2024, have been granted a six-month operating licence.

The additional taxis are fully electric, in line with Monaco’s efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. As in previous years, these white, easily identifiable vehicles will operate within Monaco at a fixed fare of 18 euros, excluding waiting time and traffic delays, and to neighbouring municipalities for 25 euros. If demand is high, they may also serve routes between Menton and Nice Ville. During major events, they will be available for pre-booked trips to Nice Airport, Nice train station, and Nice city centre, running all day during event periods and between 5:00 and 9:00 on other days.

The rollout of the seasonal fleet is being carried out in phases, with eight taxis operating from April 1 to September 30, 10 additional taxis from April 15 to October 15, and a further 10 from May 1 to November 1. This ensures full fleet availability between May 1 and September 30, the busiest time of year in Monaco.

To provide round-the-clock service, 11 eco-taxis will operate during the night between 21:00 and 5:00, with at least seven available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Taxis can be booked by calling +377 93 15 01 01.
