The Ballets de Monte-Carlo are captivating audiences in Paris with a powerful program that merges classical refinement with contemporary intensity, reaffirming Monaco’s standing as a beacon of artistic excellence…

From February 28 to March 5, the company is performing at the Théâtre de la Ville, presenting a striking double bill: Autodance by Israeli choreographer Sharon Eyal and Vers un Pays Sage by Jean-Christophe Maillot. Eyal’s hypnotic piece, set to a pulsating electronic score, is a mesmerizing exploration of movement and rhythm, while Maillot’s work, inspired by the vibrant artistry of his late father, brings a burst of energy and colour to the stage.

Dancers have adapted to the new performance space, refining their precision and synchronicity in rehearsals ahead of each show. The tour has been met with overwhelming enthusiasm, with sold-out performances and standing ovations confirming the company’s international prestige.

Beyond the stage, the Ballets de Monte-Carlo took the opportunity to visit the Pompidou Centre, where they explored key works that will feature in Couleur, the Grimaldi Forum’s upcoming summer exhibition. This highly anticipated show, produced in collaboration with the Parisian Museum, will trace the evolution of colour in 20th-century art and open on July 8.

With this triumphant Parisian tour, the Ballets de Monte-Carlo continue to strengthen their global influence, embodying the Principality’s commitment to artistic innovation and excellence.
