The Princess Grace Irish Library will host an in-person talk by award-winning Irish novelist, playwright, and filmmaker Cónal Creedon on February 27 at 7pm…

As the Spring 2025 Writer-in-Residence, Creedon will offer an evening of literary insight and storytelling, sharing his perspectives on writing, creativity, and the rich cultural influences that shape his work.

Hailing from Cork City, Creedon is widely recognized for his novels, short stories, and stage plays, which explore the complexities of urban life and the universal nature of the human condition. His works have been translated into multiple languages, including Chinese, demonstrating their global appeal. His reputation as an outstanding literary voice has earned him numerous accolades, including the Leonardo da Vinci Award 2024 from the World Cultural Council in Switzerland and the Books, Arts and Music Award for Literature 2024 from the Irish American Heritage Centre in Chicago.

In 2024, Creedon was also invited to present the prestigious Beatty Lecture at McGill University in Montreal, cementing his status as one of Ireland’s foremost contemporary writers. His ability to craft compelling narratives rooted in Cork’s rich history, while simultaneously connecting with audiences worldwide, makes this event a must-attend for literature enthusiasts in Monaco.
