The 15th edition of the Monaco Run Gramaglia witnessed record participation, with 3,800 athletes taking to the streets of the Principality for a weekend of running events…

Following Saturday’s mountain trail, city trail, and the 1000m race, 2,800 runners competed in the highly anticipated 5km and 10km races on Sunday, making it one of the most popular editions in the event’s history.

The 10km race, traditionally the most attended, remained a key highlight, but organizers noted an increasing enthusiasm for the 5km, which is more accessible to amateur runners. Under perfect sunny conditions, professionals and amateur athletes alike gathered to test their endurance, push their limits, and celebrate the joy of running.

In the 5km category, Belgium’s Kimé Isac secured victory in the men’s race with a time of 13 minutes and 15 seconds, while Ethiopia’s Likina Amebaou, last year’s champion, defended her title with a record-breaking run of 14 minutes and 33 seconds—two seconds faster than her 2024 record.

The 10km event, a favourite among competitive runners, saw a strong French presence at the top of the podium. Augustine Merau Lombard won the women’s race in 34 minutes and 6 seconds, while Cédric Cbert took the men’s title in 30 minutes and 44 seconds in his debut at Monaco Run. Reflecting on his win, Cbert praised the course, calling it a “pure pleasure to run in Monaco.”

The weekend concluded with the Pink Ribbon Monaco Walk, which gathered hundreds of participants in a show of solidarity for breast cancer awareness and screening. With record numbers and outstanding performances, the 2025 Monaco Run solidified its place as one of the most anticipated sporting events in the Principality.
