The New National Museum of Monaco (NMNM) has launched its latest exhibition, Agora, at Villa Sauber, open until May 4…

This thought-provoking showcase highlights the museum’s mission to collect, study, produce, preserve, and transmit art while reflecting on 15 years of innovative educational and cultural initiatives.

Agora explores how NMNM fosters connections between art and the community, particularly through its unique programs tailored for Monaco’s residents. These include partnerships with National Education to inspire young audiences, artist residencies in schools, and the “Apprentice Collectors” project, which engages high school students in selecting works for the museum’s collection.

One highlight of the exhibition is the inclusion of Portuguese artist Rita Ferreira, whose work was chosen by a student through one of these educational initiatives. “It’s an honour to be presented in this museum,” Ferreira expressed, emphasizing the significance of being part of such a meaningful project.

Visitors can also delve into digital creation programs and guided tours, which have become staples of NMNM’s approach to expanding art appreciation. Additionally, the exhibition pays tribute to Marie-Claude Beaud, whose five-decade career has been dedicated to reaching new audiences and enriching Monaco’s cultural landscape.

With its focus on innovation and education, Agora not only celebrates NMNM’s achievements but also invites the public to imagine new ways of experiencing art, making it a must-see for locals and visitors alike.
