AS Monaco demonstrated resilience and determination at the Stade de la Beaujoire, rallying from a two-goal deficit to secure a 2-2 draw against FC Nantes. The spirited performance ensures the team concludes the first half of the Ligue 1 season with 31 points.

Trailing early, Monaco conceded in the 12th minute when Nantes’ Matthis Abline converted a cross from Sorba Thomas. The Canaries doubled their lead just after halftime with a stunning strike from Kelvin Amian that found the top corner.

However, the Monegasques refused to back down. Breel Embolo sparked the comeback with a precise finish in the 52nd minute, assisted by Wilfried Singo. Moments later, Mohammed Salisu delivered the equaliser with a powerful header from a corner by Lamine Camara, sending the traveling Monaco supporters into a frenzy.

The match remained tense in the final minutes, with near misses from both sides. Nicolas Pallois denied Embolo a second goal with a last-ditch clearance, and Moses Simon struck the crossbar for Nantes. Despite a final free-kick opportunity in stoppage time, Monaco could not clinch the win.

The result highlights Monaco’s tenacity, providing a boost as they prepare for an important Coupe de France Round of 16 clash against Reims. Coach Adi Hütter praised his team’s fighting spirit, emphasising the importance of carrying this momentum into upcoming fixtures.
