Monaco’s Minister of State, Didier Guillaume, will temporarily step down from his duties due to a scheduled medical treatment requiring hospitalisation. This announcement was confirmed by the Palace in an official statement issued on Friday, January 10.
To ensure the continuity of governance, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II has appointed Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, the Government Counsellor-Minister of External Relations and Cooperation, as Acting Minister of State. Effective from January 10, 2025, Berro-Amadeï will take on these additional responsibilities while continuing to oversee her own department.
Berro-Amadeï brings extensive experience to the role, with a distinguished career spanning government leadership, diplomacy, and the judiciary. Her appointment reflects confidence in her ability to uphold the smooth operation of state affairs during Guillaume’s absence.
The Palace also conveyed HSH Prince Albert II’s heartfelt wishes for a swift and full recovery to Guillaume.
