The incident occurred at around 16:00 near the platform serving track C, on the line towards Marseille. The circumstances surrounding the fall have not yet been established.
As reported by Monaco-Matin, emergency services were attempting to resuscitate the man following the incident. Monaco firefighters and an emergency medical team attended the scene, together with officers from the Principality’s Public Security department.
Rail traffic was subsequently halted in both directions, causing significant disruption to services through Monaco. The station was also closed to passengers while the emergency operation continued, with access prohibited until further notice.
No further information on the man’s identity or condition had been released at the time of publication.
