The Prince’s Government has announced the opening of online enrolment for the 2025-26 academic year for both public and private contract primary and secondary schools in Monaco. Families can complete the process via the MonGuichet.mc portal under the Education section, accessible 24/7 on computers, tablets, and smartphones. For those unable or unwilling to register online, paper applications remain an option through the Department of Education, Youth, and Sports (DENJS) or the school of their choice.

Children who are Monégasque or residents of Monaco, aged three years or turning three during the first trimester of the school year, are eligible to enrol in public or private contract schools. Enrolment in public schools will take place from January 6 to March 21, 2025, while private contract school applications will be open from January 13 to March 28, 2025. Secondary school enrolment is available for Monégasque students, Monaco residents, and students already attending Monaco’s public schools through grade 9 (troisième). Applications for Collège Charles III are open from May 1 to June 20, 2025, while Lycée Albert I and Lycée Rainier III will accept enrolments from January 13 to June 20, 2025. Lycée François d’Assise-Nicolas Barré will process applications from January 13 to June 2, 2025.

Lycée Rainier III will also accept applications for post-secondary programs, including BTS in Management Support, Accounting and Management, or the DCG diploma. Hospitality-focused programs, such as BTS in Hospitality Management and preparatory courses, are also available. Applications for these programs will be open from January 15 to April 2, 2025, during the first phase of enrolment.

Students interested in sports-friendly classes with adjusted schedules can submit applications between March 17 and May 15, 2025. For families requiring exemptions, such as adjustments for residence outside Monaco, school zoning changes, or age-related concerns like early kindergarten enrolment, requests must be submitted to the DENJS. General exemptions will be processed between January 1 and May 1, 2025, with residence-based exemptions extended until May 15, 2025. Families seeking additional information are encouraged to contact the DENJS or visit MonGuichet.mc for guidance.
