American point guard Jordan Lloyd is making a triumphant return to the Roca Team after deciding to leave Maccabi Tel Aviv due to the ongoing conflict in Israel…
Lloyd, who previously played for Monaco and was MVP of the LNB finals in 2023, has signed a contract with the principality’s team until 2026.
Having recently played against Monaco in EuroLeague Round 2, scoring 16 points, Lloyd is now ready to wear the red and white jersey once again. The shooting guard expressed his excitement, saying, “Monaco holds a special place in my heart. My daughter was born here, and I have lifelong brothers on this team. It was an easy decision to come back.”
Lloyd also thanked Monaco fans for their unwavering support, adding, “The fans have always shown me and my family so much love. I’ve received many messages and I’m very grateful. My goal now is to integrate into the team and help fight for the EuroLeague title.”
His return to Monaco is expected to strengthen the team’s chances in the EuroLeague, as Lloyd brings experience from his time with Maccabi Tel Aviv, Crvena Zvezda, Valencia Basket, and Zenit Saint Petersburg.
