On the sidelines of the 19th Francophonie Summit, Monaco’s Minister of External Relations and Cooperation, Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, and Burundi’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation, Albert Shingiro, signed a Cooperation Framework Agreement on Saturday, October 5.
The agreement aims to strengthen the historic partnership between Monaco and Burundi, focusing on key areas such as health, education, child protection, food security, and access to decent work. It formalises Monaco’s commitment to supporting Burundi’s national development priorities.
Isabelle Berro-Amadeï is scheduled to visit Burundi at the end of the month for further discussions with local authorities, cooperation partners, and beneficiaries of the program.
Monaco has been active in supporting development projects in Burundi for several years, contributing to various initiatives aimed at improving living conditions in the country.
