HSH Prince Albert participated in the second day of the 19th Francophonie Summit, organised by France in Villers-Cotterêts and Paris on Saturday, October 5. The summit, held under the theme “Creating, Innovating, and Enterprising in French,” focused on key issues such as youth employment. During a plenary session, young creators, innovators, and entrepreneurs from civil society engaged in roundtable discussions.
Prince Albert emphasised the importance of the French language as a shared cultural heritage that unites diverse communities and reiterated that youth must be a priority, as 60 percent of the Francophone population is under 35.
The event followed the 45th Ministerial Conference of La Francophonie (CMF), held on Thursday, October 3, where Monaco’s delegation was led by Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Minister of External Relations and Cooperation.

During the conference, Berro-Amadeï highlighted the theme’s significance, stressing that fostering creativity and innovation in the French language is crucial to preserving cultural diversity and promoting democratic stability and prosperity across Francophone nations.
In a bilateral meeting with Xavier Espot Zamora, the Prime Minister of Andorra, Prince Albert discussed strengthening economic relations between their countries and preparations for the 2025 Games of the Small States of Europe. Later, he joined a closed-door session with heads of state and government to discuss “Renewing Multilateralism,” leading to the adoption of three major documents: the Summit Declaration, a Declaration of Solidarity with Lebanon, and a Resolution addressing crises within the Francophone community.
The next Ministerial Conference of La Francophonie is scheduled for autumn 2025 in Kigali, Rwanda.
