NEWS.MC spoke to Arthur Leclerc, the Ferrari development driver for Scuderia Ferrari for the 2024 season and current GT3 driver.

When asked what inspired him to be part of the Daghe brand Arthur said:

I was invited to be a partner of the Daghe (GO MONACO) as it is a Monégasque drinks brand with low calories as well as being very tasty. This fits with my image as a young athlete so I decided to take on the role of ambassador.

What flavours of Daghe are currently available?

“Cola, lemonade, ginger and tonic are the four flavours at the moment but we are still open to exploring new ideas.”

Turning to driving, what are the key differences between your current car and previous models you’ve driven?

“The MP2 and GT3 highlight that endurance racing features traction control, heavier cars and harder tires, making the driving experience quite different from Formula 2 cars. The core elements of racing remain the same, as all race cars have four wheels and are designed for high speeds. But cars are different, and so the approach required as a driver also needs to be adapted.”

What made you want to become a racing driver when you were young?

“There’s just something incredible about the sensation you feel when you’re pushing the car to its maximum. Ever since I was young, I’ve dreamed of becoming a racing driver and am very grateful to get behind the wheel to this day.”

What do you do in your spare time?

“I like to go karting and sometimes just relax at home with my friends. It feels good because I’m always traveling here and there a lot of time, especially in Manila with the Scuderia Ferrari academy development team.”
