A brief moment of concern unfolded on the afternoon of Tuesday, September 3 in Monaco when a suspicious package was spotted on Boulevard des Moulins. The Monaco Police bomb disposal team was called in around noon after a black garbage bag was found abandoned outside the shop ‘Je le veux’ at 10 Boulevard des Moulins.
Responding swiftly, the bomb disposal team set up a security perimeter, partially closing the boulevard to traffic and deploying their resources to investigate the contents of the package. After thorough checks, they determined that the bag contained nothing more than ordinary waste, dispelling any fears of a potential threat.
While such incidents aren’t rare in Monaco, they are always taken seriously to ensure public safety. The security measures were quickly lifted, and normalcy returned to the area as was the case last week when a similar incident occurred on Avenue Princess Alice.
