Next month, the Grimaldi Forum will welcome the best part of one thousand guests from the football world for the launch of the 2024/25 Union of European Football Associations Men’s Club Competition Season.
The Champions League draw is scheduled for August 29 at 18:00, while the draws for the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League draws will take place on the afternoon of the following day.
During the event, UEFA will introduce its new league phase format for the first time. The Champions League group stage will now include 36 clubs, adding four more teams to provide more sides the opportunity to compete against the best clubs in Europe.
Teams will now face eight different opponents instead of playing three teams twice home and away. Match-ups will be determined by ranking teams into four pots, with each team drawn to play two challengers from each pot, resulting in one home and away match per participating team.
