The Permanent Mission of the Principality of Monaco to the United Nations marked the anniversary of HSH the Sovereign Prince’s accession on Friday, July 12, with a celebration reaffirming Monaco’s steadfast commitment to multilateralism.
HE Mrs. Isabelle Picco, Monaco’s Permanent Representative to the UN, emphasised the importance of unity and cohesion in her address, especially in the lead-up to the ‘Summit of the Future’, which will convene heads of states and governments on September 22 and 23.
The event drew diplomats, international civil servants, journalists accredited to the United Nations, and friends of Monaco, who responded positively to Madame Picco’s call for solidarity. This celebration coincided with the first high-level political forum on sustainable development, currently taking place in New York.
