Jimmy’z Monte-Carlo, the legendary nightclub in Monaco and the Côte d’Azur, celebrated its 50th anniversary on Thursday, July 11. The event was a star-studded affair, with HSH Prince Albert, Camille Gottlieb, Charles Leclerc, and other notable personalities in attendance. Belgian DJ Lost Frequencies headlined the celebration, ensuring the dance floor was alive all night.
Founded in 1971, Jimmy’z quickly became a magnet for the international jet-set. Originally located at the site of the current Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort, it moved to the Sporting Monte-Carlo complex in 1974. Since then, it has hosted some of the world’s top DJs, including Bob Sinclar, David Morales, and Martin Solveig.
Sharing its 50th anniversary with Jimmy’z, the Sporting Monte-Carlo complex, inaugurated on July 22, 1974, has been a premier venue for spectacular events. The Salle des Etoiles has welcomed stars like Frank Sinatra, Tina Turner, Céline Dion, Stevie Wonder, and Michael Jackson. This year, performers such as Sam Smith, Diana Krall, Jamiroquai, Duran Duran, and Lenny Kravitz are slated to grace the stage.
The anniversary party was a high-energy celebration. Charles Leclerc, fresh from his victory at the 2024 Monte-Carlo Grand Prix, signed a commemorative plaque, adding to the night’s excitement. Influencers GMK and Seb Delanney also joined the festivities, marking the start of the summer season at Sporting Monte-Carlo.
Jimmy’z Monte-Carlo remains an iconic nightlife destination, continuing its legacy of glamour and celebration well into its golden anniversary.
