The Permanent Representation of Monaco to the Council of Europe held its annual reception to celebrate the 19th anniversary of HSH Prince Albert II’s accession on Tuesday, July 9.
The event brought together members from the 46 delegations of the Council of Europe and representatives from the Secretariat of the Organisation. During the reception, the upcoming celebration of Monaco’s 20-year membership in the Council of Europe was announced.
To mark this milestone, an exhibition will be held from October 2 to 31 this year, in the foyer of the Palais de l’Europe. The exhibition will trace Monaco’s journey to membership, starting from the initial project in 1949, and highlight the Principality’s dedication to human rights, the rule of law, and democracy-core principles of the Council of Europe.
The exhibition will feature an original and participatory artwork by local artist Mr. OneTeas and a film compiled from archival footage, offering a comprehensive look at Monaco’s historical and ongoing commitment to these values.
