AS Monaco’s Director General, Thiago Scuro, presented a check for 20,245 euros to the Oceanographic Institute’s Deputy Director General, Cyril Gomez on Tuesday, July 9, a donation stemming from a partnership between AS Monaco, the Oceanographic Institute, and Kappa.

This collaboration, initiated last year, led to the launch of the OCEANO jersey, featuring Mediterranean coastal colours. For each jersey sold, five euros were donated to the Oceanographic Institute, accumulating to the total sum of 20,245 euros from the sale of 4049 jerseys.

These funds will support the Institute’s efforts to raise awareness and protect marine environments, complimenting the initiatives that have already reinforced the partnership throughout the year, such as a beach cleanup organised by the Association of Friends of the Museum (AAMOM) and AS Monaco, involving U16 Academy players, and Institute employees.

“We were proud to wear this jersey full of symbols and to have had the opportunity to carry out this unique project with the Museum teams. We hope that it will have helped to raise awareness among as many people as possible about protecting the Ocean. We will not fail to continue to follow and support the efforts of the Institute in its mission.” said AS Monaco General Manager Thiago Scuro.
