Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou welcomed members of the easy family of brands to the company’s office in Monaco for the two-day annual event on Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18, while also celebrating 30 years since the launch of the easyGroup with a dinner at the Yacht Club de Monaco on Friday evening.
The easyGroup was born in 1994, when a 27 year-old Sir Stelios saw the potential in uniting a family of brands under one very easy to recognise suffix. A year later, the first easyJet took flight on November 10, 1995, and the rest is history, or rather easyHistory. See the fifth edition of easyHistory below:
Dinner at the Yacht Club concluded with an easyQuiz on easyHistory, presented by the Group’s former marketing director Tony Anderson. The winners of the quiz will enjoy a trip to the Greek island of Spetses, including a dinner for four at the five-star Poseidonion Grand Hotel.
The vast number of easy brands sees the easyGroup transcend multiple industries, and allows Monaco resident Sir Stelios to give back though his Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, to which the easyGroup donates most of its profits.
